HID Showcase

(2019)

(Full documentation coming soon)

This project was completed during my time at Accomplice. HID hired us to help them re-design their lobby showroom at their headquarters in Austin, TX. The room serves as a place to show new and old clients a range of their products as well as a place to tell their brand story. They specifically wanted a way to reduce their physical products to reduce clutter and instead feature an almost purely digital experience with an in-depth CMS that was easily managed and updated.

We designed three unique experiences for the showroom - a digital history timeline, a brand story experience, and product showcase experience. Each experience featured one or multiple massive touchscreens at 98” each. The brand story experience also featured a 12k lumen projector adding supplementary and auxiliary animation to the wall around the touchscreens that was reactive to the navigation of the experience.

All three systems were built with Touchdesigner and featured a very complex CMS that allows the client to change virtually every single piece of photo, video and text on any of the experiences all via Wordpress.

This is a permanent install and is still on display at HID’s headquarters in Austin, TX.
