dialexa interactive portfolio
(2016)
This project was completed under my company Captive. Dialexa was looking for ways to add some interesting tech experiences to the lobby of their office in Dallas, TX and hired us to concept and pitch ideas. The idea we landed on was an interactive portfolio system that clients could use while they waited in the lobby.
We built the system as a locally-hosted website on a Mac Pro computer. This allowed us to build a templated design that was easy to update remotely and easy to add new projects to. The website was ported to MadMapper to map the content onto the curved wall. The system is controlled via and iPad mini that is also running a web-based interface that is easy to update. The parallaxing projected content also reacts to the tilt of the iPad via the accelerometer in the iPad.
This was a permanent install at Dialexa’s office in Dallas, TX and is still on display.
