Accenture Showcase

(2018)

This project was completed during my time at Accomplice. We were hired by Accenture to help them build unique and interesting tech experiences as a storytelling platform for their new client showroom on the 33rd floor of the Salesforce Tower in San Francisco. We concepted and pitched 15+ ideas and landed on a phase 1 install of three unique experiences. These included transparent display cabinets, AR viewfinders and massive touchscreen pivoting walls. My work was mostly involved with the transparent display cabinets and the AR viewfinders.

The display cabinets are equipped with RFID technology and act as a way to tell a story around an object or artifact. We created motion graphics animations for each object telling the story and providing information about that object. When a user places the object in the cabinet, the displays automatically start playing the unique content for that object.

The AR viewfinders are built with an iPad inside as the display. We hired a drone contractor to capture a gigapixel panoramic image of the skyline from just outside the windows where the viewfinders would live on the 33rd floor. We then augmented these images with animations highlighting partner businesses, real-time bus route information and areas of interest. These layers of information are activated by physical switches built into the side of the viewfinder.

The physical design and fabrication of all of these structures was all done in-house at Accomplice. This made our prototyping and overall process highly integrated and seamless.
